A Probationary Officer holds the designation of an Assistant Manager in any Public Sector Bank. A Bank PO has various functions to play in the workings of a bank which are stated below:

What is the Bank PO Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern 2020?

The selection process for the Bank PO exam consists of 3 stages, which are:

Prelims Exam

Mains Exam (Objective + Descriptive)

GD & Interview

(Note - However, this selection stage differs from bank to bank).

             - There is one-fourth negative marking in both Prelims & Mains for each question wrongly marked!

             - Once you clear the first 2 stages of PO Exam, you will have to face an Interview.

             - Once you clear all these 3 stages, you will be selected as a Bank PO.

C. Interview

In case of IBPS, the Interview consists of 100 marks. The weightage (ratio) of Mains Exam & IBPS PO Interview is 80:20, for the final selection. The final selection of the candidates is done on the basis of the combined total of both the stages.

On the other hand, in case of SBI PO, the third stage is of 50 marks which comprises of GD & Interview based on the following pattern:
